"If you really want to do something you'll find a way, if you don't you'll find an excuse." - Jim Rohn
I like this quote because of it's directness and simplicity. Something that Jim Rohn is known to be good at; giving excellent advise in life and personal development in such a simple way.
If you really, really want to do something you will be committed and nothing, no excuses, will stop you from pursuing it no matter how long it takes. On the other hand, something that you keep finding excuses for is something that you really don't want to do.
I'm not condoning that you just give up when you don't want to do something. Some responsibilities we have to do whether we like it or not. But I wanted to discuss this quote in relation to our goals, desires and dreams. Is there something that you have been pusuing but find that you keep making excuses? Maybe it's time to evaluate that goal or dream. Maybe it's not a goal you want any more, or maybe your dreams changed. It's OK to change! We change and our desires change, so you can change direction.
Take some time and think about your life and goals. What are you committed to and not making excuses to do, and what do you find you are always making excuses for and putting off the work? Maybe that is something your heart no longer wants and it's time to change direction.
