You simply will not be the same person two months from now after consciously giving thanks each day for the abundance that exists in your life. And you will have set in motion an ancient spiritual law: the more you have and are grateful for, the more will be given to you.
Sarah Ban Breathnach
Do you ever wonder how it is that two people can come from the same backgrounds, start out in the same career position, work equally as hard, and one person continues to go on to become successful and more successful, and the other person comes out with little success no matter how hard they may try?
Some people would say that it's luck, but the more things I read and the people I talk to or listen to who are super successful say that aside from the persistence and hard work that you must be grateful for your work. Because of the law of attraction, you have to be grateful for success in order for it to come to you in your life. Without gratitude you cannot have permanent success.
Some of the most successful and brilliant people of our time, like Albert Einstein or Sir Isaac Newton, when asked or praised for their world-changing discoveries would always first be grateful for others whom had come before them or their team who they worked with. Even when you watch some of the very successful actors of our time when they accept their awards, most of them express how extremely grateful they are to be able to do the work that they do.
To bring success or increase into your career you need to be grateful for it every single day. It will bring you more work, more money and more success. The opposite is also true. When we forget to be grateful for our work, it becomes stale and will eventually deteriorate.
If you aren't at a job you really want right now, ti's no excuse to not be grateful for it. You need to be grateful for what you have now in order to attract more of what you do want in the future. There's a lot you could be thankful for in your current job, even if it's not your dream job. Think about the fact you actually have a job, or the time-saving things that make your job easier like a computer or cell phone. Think about the people you work with who help you, or make your office more enjoyable to work at. Or even just receiving your paycheck.
Today's challenge is to simply think of 5 things you are grateful for about your work or job and include them in your daily gratitude list. Expressing gratitude for the work you currently do have should be something you remember to do every day if you want to be more successful in your career, or attract the job of your dreams.
Lucky breaks really don't happen by accident. You get what you put in, and receive back the amount of gratitude you have in life. The beautiful thing is that we have more control over our lives than many of us think, and it begins with gratitude.
Your checklist for today:
1. Make your list of 10 things that you are grateful for and why. Remember to include 5 things specifically about your job or work. You can make these 5 things a part of the 10 items, or add them as additional items if you think of more things you are grateful for. Remember to say THANK YOU 3 times after you read each item on your list.
2. Remember to look at your dollar bill from yesterday's challenge and say "Thank you for all the money I've received all my life!"
3. Before bed tonight, pick up your gratitude object and think about all the good things that happened to you today. Pick the best thing that happened and say THANK YOU.
