Gratitude Challenge Day 20- Feel it in your heart

Gratitude Challenge Day 20- Feel it in your heart

"Gratitude is the memory of the heart"
- Jean-Baptiste Massieu
With every challenge we've done so far, the goal is to not only get in the habit of practicing gratitude, but when we do to try to visualize things happening.  We do this because it helps us to feel grateful.  The more you really feel grateful on the inside, the more things you will receive to be grateful for.  The long you practice gratitude, the easier it will be to feel it.
Today, the challenge is to help you to increase the depth of gratitude you feel.  To do this you will focus your mind on the area of your heart as you say and feel the words thank you.
Science has proved that your heart rhythm is more even and harmonious when focusing on your heart as you feel gratitude, resulting in major improvements to your health.  http://www.apa.org/news/press/releases/2015/04/grateful-heart.aspx
For the gratitude challenge today, you are going to write the list of 10 things you are grateful for, as you have been doing.  Today, when you read through your list, focus on the area where you heart is.  You can close you eyes to help you focus, put your hand on over your heart, or even imagine the words thank you coming out of your heart as you read through your list.  As you practice feeling your gratitude you'll start to feel more at peace and happy.
Your checklist for today:
1.  Make your list of 10 things you are grateful for and why.
2.  Read through your list and say thank you for each item on your list, really try to focus on your heart and feel the gratitude.  You can put your hand over you heart or close your eyes to focus your attention to your heart.
3.  Before you go to bed tonight, pick up your gratitude object and think about all the good things that happened to you today.  Pick the best thing that happened and say thank you!
