"A hundred times every day I remind myself that my inner and outer life depend on the labors of other men, living and dead, and that I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received and am still receiving."
-Albert Einstein
Because Einstein is one of the brilliant men who has ever lived it is amazing to learn that he practiced gratitude every day of his life and said those words hundreds of times a day because he believed in the power of gratitude and the law of attraction. Today we're going to follow his practice by also saying thank you 100+ times today. We're going to do this by taking 100 steps in gratitude.
I love this challenge because it instantly makes me feel happier. Whenever you take a step, say thank you, either out loud or in your head. It takes the average person about 90 seconds to take 100 steps. Don't count your steps but either walk and say thank you for over a minute, or spread it out throughout your day and just remember to say thank you every time you set your feet down to step forward.
I've gotten into the habit of doing this every morning when I walk my dogs. I don't even think about doing it anymore. I just find myself saying thank you with every step. And it really does lift your mood!
By the time you're done with this challenge today, you'll have said thank you at least 100 times!
Your checklist for today:
1. Make your list of the 10 things you are grateful for and why. Remember to read all of the items on your list and say thank you 3 times after you read each one.
2. Take your 100 gratitude steps. Either at one time for about 90 seconds, or throughout your day. Say thank you every time you take a step.
3. Before you go to bed tonight, pick up your gratitude object and think about all the good thinks that happened to you today. Think of the best thing that happened and say thank you!
